Welcome to Terry Taylor
Terry Taylor is guitarist and co – founder of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings. Formed in 1997 the band have released 12 Albums and have toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
Terry’s earliest interest in music began when he first heard American artists like Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers and Chuck Berry – English artists would include Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Lonnie Donegan, Joe Brown and Billy Fury.
A few years later when The Beatles and The Rolling Stones came along Terry decided he wanted to be involved in music so at the age of 14 he started to learn the guitar. He soon formed a band whilst still at school and began playing popular music in clubs and halls at the weekends.
Early in 1966 Terry went to see Eric Clapton play with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers at a local venue in Hertfordshire. Eric’s guitar playing and sound was so powerful it left Terry with the need to find out more about the blues.
